The New Year Begins with Rebecca and Matthew

   What more can I ask for but to start the new year with such a magnificent couple, Rebecca and Matt! The wedding ceremony and reception took place at the majestic Rancho Las Lomas on a beautiful sunny day with no rain insight. The day started out a little windy but by the time the brides father walked her down the aisle everything was perfect! The guests waited outdoors with the stunning view of the surrounding hills and the music filled the air. After they exchange there vows the guest were escorted to the cocktail area where Craigs Extraordinary Catering awaited them with lots of drinks and lavish hors d’oeuvres. Once we completed there photographs we knew the party was on! With all there friends and families energized with excitement we knew this was going to be a reception to remember. Not to mention we had the “THE MAN” Mike Carcano from Carcano DJ Audio Visual and Lighting as the DJ extraordinaire to get this party started! The evening turned out to be what Rebecca and Matt had planned all along. They united together as man and wife and soon followed with the celebration with close friends and family. What more can you really ask for!

MORE BLOGING ON ITS WAY!

    After a very, very busy season we will still try to post all of our many awesome weddings from earlier this year and thru out the summer. We have had the opportunity to be apart of so many couple’s special day and we are very grateful and honored to have been able to be witness and capture those once in a lifetime moments. Kristen and Jared Married in HB

     

      Kristen and Jared exchanged vows on August 25th at The beautiful Hyatt Hotel and Spa in huntington Beach, California. Carrie Goff from Exquisite Event Planning and Design did a awesome job planning this impressive event!  There magnificent Ceremony took place at the California Courtyard outdoors looking over the pacific ocean as the music from the violin and flute played in the background. After the Ceremony the guest enjoyed cocktails during the sunset while the wedding party headed to the beach for some fun photographs with the bride and groom. The reception in the Vista Ballroom was equally striking with flowers by Fantasy Floral who created stunning designs and colors to complement there day. The reception would not be the same without Invisible Touch DJ’S who always takes the Ballrooms to another level with there dazzling room lighting along with master DJ Devon who is sure to get you out of your seat. The party continued with lots of dancing and excitment with there many closes friends and family. What a great Party!! Congratulations again to Kristen and Jared!

 

A special evening in Laguna Beach

   Cindy and Nick selected one of my favorite engagement spots ever! The views in Laguna Beach are just awesome! However, this day was not only special, but we also had to deal with 30-40 mile an hour winds which was certainly a challenge. But finding out later both Cindy and Nick are big outdoor enthusiasts! In fact they actual got engaged on August 2nd 2006 on a mountain top at Yosemite National Park. The park is one of the first wilderness parks in the United States and is best known for its waterfalls. When asking them how, when and where they met it all seemed just a matter of time. They first met when they were only 7 years old and continued there friendship all thru high school.  But it was until there college days when Nick was at Cal Poly and Cindy at Cal State Fullerton when they knew they could not be apart. The portrait session we did definitely tells the story about there strong relationship together and the excitement building towards the big day! I really had a blast (yes windy too) with this great couple! I know the wedding photographs will be just as dazzling!

Doing it Disney Style!

   Kendra and Art are getting married May 6th 2007 and they decided to choose from one of the many great locations here in The OC to have there engagement session! What a great couple! They definitely are a perfect match! It is always a great way for me to meet the couple before the big day and really get to know each other. When finding out how they met I always enjoy hearing all the different ways and stories leading us to this day. First off, Art asked Kendra to marry him in November 2006 at home after she came home from a Nick Lachey concert. What a suprise! They actual met working in the same building for different companys but had seen each other during lunches with other co-workers. Eventually Kendra left that job and for 6 months Art had no way of getting a hold of Kendra anymore. Then one day Art was able to find her email adress and thats were it all begins. A couple dinners and I’m sure a evening or too out on the town closed the deal.

Mr and Mrs. Jones tie the knot!

      On Saturday, February 17th, Jonathon and Libby exchanged vows at St john’s Episcopal Church in Ranch Santa Margarita, California on what was described as our first beautifully warm and sunny day of the year! Not a cloud in the sky and considering the couple lives in Egan, Minnesota. I believe the temperture there that day was some where between 21 to 30 degrees. After the ceremony was completed, the couple and there families proceeded to one of my favorite venues in Mission Viejo Arroyo Trabuco. Alyson Gabaldon whom is the Catering Sales and Event Manger there always does a superb job at there location. Great food, friendly staff and of course the views and privacy of this venue makes it brilliant! Upon arrival, the guests were treated to a impressive assortment of hors douvres and cocktails over looking the plush fairways. As the evening continued, the couple visited and danced the night away with many of there Friends and family especially because so many of them were from different parts of the country.

“LATITUDE ADJUSTMENT” for Melissa and Jake

   Melissa and Jake were married February 10th 2007 in a true “California” style wedding including a spectacular grand entrance on a beautiful boat named “Latitude Adjustment”! The couple started there day at St Cecilia’s Church in Tustin, California were 200 of there closes friends and families witnessed this emotional celebration. Shortly following the ceremony, they were then taken away in hollywood fashion in a super stretch Cadillac Escalade to Newport Beach. Awaiting them was this amazing boat which would then escort them to one of the Newport Harbors most scenic venues The Newport Harbor Yacht Club. Melissa and Jake then arrived with the entire reception awaiting them out doors while sipping on cocktails and enjoying hors’doures.

“A Beautiful Maiden has found her Prince”

            Justin and Shaunna’s big Day! I knew this day was going to be special once I received a copy of the best invitation you have ever seen! Each invitation was delivered in a Ornate tube which enclosed 2 scrolls adorned with rhine stones and glitter. The wedding took place at the Reef Restaurant which has spectacular views of the Long Beach harbor. Shaunna and Justin exchanged there vows overlooking the harbor just moments before the sunset. Immediately following the guests were escorted to The Harbor View Ballroom which was fit for a Princess! Shaunna and and Justin hosted a reception that truly matched there personalities both care free and fun. With lots of music and dancing Justin and Shaunna definitely brought “sexy back”!

Roxana’s having her 15th birthday party next month but also known as a La Quinceañera!
 The transition from childhood to womanhood is a significant passage for adolescent girls in almost all cultures. In Mexico, it is marked with the celebration of the Quinceañera, or 15th Birthday. From a north-of-the-border viewpoint, it may be seen as a cross between Sweet Sixteen and a debutante’s coming out party. We decided to create a special portrait of her in a more casual setting and include some of her favorite items. As you can see she really loves to shop! Thanks to Monica, her sister-in-law whom we photographed her wedding 2 years ago helped us put this really fun session together! I can’t wait until the big day!

Wedding in US Virgin Islands

     On December 14th we were off to the US Virgin Islands to 2nd Shoot for my good buddy Bleu Cotton. He had booked this awesome wedding on the Island of St. John in the US Virgin Island. We had great weather, excellent food, stunning views and of course the best bride and groom you could ever ask for. The bride and groom “John and Anh” both live here in the OC! Most couples from the west coast travel to Hawaii and the east coast people usually go to the Carribean/Bahamas for wedddings and vacations. But I can see why they did he opposite. What a great place to go without the busy tourist feeling. The wedding took place on the worlds #2 Beach called TRUNK BAY. The reception was immediately held at a private villa over looking the ocean.
